Confirmed — source checked
This is the first listed date for this year; a separate observance date has not been assigned.
Eid al-Fitr is listed only where Nepal's annual government notice or a supported, clearly marked projection supports nationwide scope.
Bank, office and school arrangements require the applicable authority or institution notice. Missing scope data does not mean open.
Wednesday, 10 March 2027 · Estimated / awaiting confirmation
Next listed holiday day on or after today; this can be a closure day rather than the festival date.
Recorded confirmation and independent source review are shown separately. An institution-specific notice does not establish closure for every employer or school.
Scope exclusions from the 2082 and 2083 annual notices
Reviewed · Scope: excluded_scope · Checked 2026-10-03
Holi district groups, Ghode/Indra/Bhoto Jatra, women-only Teej/Jitiya/Women’s Day, education-only Basanta Panchami, disability-only leave, and community-only observances are not promoted to nationwide public holidays.
Ministry notice fixing Eid al-Fitr on Saturday
Confirmed · Scope: public · Checked 2026-10-03
Gregorian date cross-checked against the stated Bikram Sambat date 2082-12-07.
Confirmed rows follow an applicable annual notice. Future rows are provisional until the Ministry of Home Affairs publishes the relevant annual notice.
No separate nationwide bank-closure entitlement is inferred.
No separate nationwide school closure is inferred beyond the public notice.
Nepal publishes government and public holidays annually in Bikram Sambat. Gregorian dates are stored for calendar interoperability while the source BS date is retained in evidence and notes.
The calendar preserves national, festival and one-off public-sector distinctions without flattening limited-scope leave.
Festival names follow the identities supported by the annual notice or the cited calendar projection.
Recheck provisional dates and current government notices before travel or appointments.
Rows covered by the 2082 or 2083 BS government notices and dated 2026 announcements are confirmed. Later projections are provisional.
No. Province, district, Kathmandu Valley, community-only, women-only and education-only leave is not presented as nationwide.
