Official sources and date status
Recorded confirmation and independent source review are shown separately. An institution-specific notice does not establish closure for every employer or school.
Source review is pending for this calendar. Estimated dates may change; check the responsible authority before making commitments.
Office arrangements
The calendar classifies the listed Eid al-Fitr dates for public-holiday planning. Independent evidence held here does not establish closure for every government office or private employer. Check the notice applying to your organisation, including any essential-service roster.
Bank arrangements
For branch visits around Eid al-Fitr, check your bank and the applicable State Bank notice. A calendar classification does not independently verify that every bank is closed. Any evidence shown on this page applies only to its stated institution, dates and scope.
School arrangements
For attendance or activities around Eid al-Fitr, use your school or education authority calendar. The records here do not establish school closure, winter vacations or reopening dates for every institution.
History
The festival begins on 1 Shawwal in the Islamic calendar. Pakistan’s Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee receives sighting reports and its chairman is authorized to announce the new lunar month.
Why it matters
Eid combines worship, charity and reunion after a month of fasting. Zakat al-Fitr is given before the congregational prayer so that vulnerable households can share in the celebration.
Observance
People attend Eid prayers, wear festive clothes, visit relatives and serve dishes such as sheer khurma. Eidi gifts for children and charitable giving are widespread.
Travel and planning
Rail, bus and air demand rises sharply as people travel home. Book early and verify the officially announced dates rather than relying solely on astronomical projections.
