Offices
Malta has fourteen national and public holidays. Good Friday is the movable holiday; Easter Monday is not a national public holiday. Weekend holidays retain their dates; additional leave entitlements do not establish a single national Monday substitute.
Banks
Check the bank's opening and payment-system calendar; public holidays alone do not specify settlement cut-offs.
Schools
This is a public-holiday calendar, not a school-term calendar. School breaks and local closures require the education authority's schedule.
Practical planning
Use the dated calendar and long-weekend planner to identify busy periods, then check local transport and visitor opening hours.
